Tips on syncing a replacement hand remote
now listen. when a person buys a replacement hand remote, I go to my files and see if I have his /her programming settings. If I do, i build a replacement hand remote. I program the network id and last frequency setting and send it.
Now, if this is to replace a damaged remote, i wouldn’t be able to ask a guy what his frequency is because he wouldn’t be able to check it.
If your asking what is the deal about the frequencies, it’s that they change automatically if they detect interference from alternate sources, some of the best code i’ve written.
So, back to your hand remote, if your receiver is in working order, and your new hand remote is not responding, you are to do a channel search.
Channel search is activated in the following way:
ensure receiver is on.
turn hand remote on without touching any buttons
put the dial to the max position (all the way to the right)
the with the dial still all the way to the right, hold red and green
no matter what (~10 seconds) keep holding the buttons till it says “channel search” then let go the buttons.
it will setup the receiver, then ping until the receiver communicates back
if it finds it, your done and you see numbers. its a one time thing
